Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom on last evening hosted a delegation of top officials from Equity Bank.
The 9-man delegation was led by Moses Nsiima, the Head of Risk Management who represented the Managing Director of Equity Bank.
The delegation was received by BKK officials who were led by Hon. Owagonza Robert, the Minister of Finance and Planning who represented the Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.
While presenting the Prime Minister’s Speech, Hon Owagonza appreciated the services offered by Equity Bank to the people of Bunyoro and asked them to give more opportunities for people to access loans, financial literacy and corporate social responsibility projects that improve on the social economic welfare of the people.
Equity Bank pledged to strengthen its partnership with Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and announced that the bank had set aside 4 billion dollars to support companies, individuals, small and Medium enterprises to invest in projects related to the oil and gas industry.
Equity bank revealed that it has a Scholarship Scheme for secondary school students. The bank has offered to give training opportunities to the best two students in each district.
