Hoima district has reserved 2400 and 2683 dozes of AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines respectively from the Ministry of Health for inoculation against covid-19 for mainly teachers.
Dr John Turyagumanawe, from the health ministry has urged leaders to ensure that all teachers are vaccinated as one of the conditions pre-set by the government for the reopening of schools.
Dr Lawrence Tumusiime, the Hoima district health officer says the vaccnes are safe for use and urges head teachers to direct all their staff to get vaccinated.
