Jenipher Namuyangu Kacha, the Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs has called on leaders to mobilize the parents to embrace sending their children to learning institutions in the region.
While addressing Hoima city stakeholders last evening at De-Place Hotel, the Minister expressed concern that most of the vocation institutions such as Uganda Petroleum Institute, Buhumba Technical Institute and Kyemya Cooperative Colleague are not being embraced by students from within Bunyoro region.
She says there is need for parents to encourage their children to take up courses from these learning institutions instead of wasting their resources to universities where students attain degrees and spend years without finding jobs.
Namuyangu explains that these institutions offer courses which are internationally recognized adding that students are assured of getting jobs or creating their own jobs after the studies.
