Government to Pay Tobacco Farmers Next Week

The Prime Minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja has revealed that government will start paying Tobacco farmers next week after entering into an agreement with the affected farmers.

Nabbanja was last evening meeting Kakumiro district roads committee at the district headquarters where she also doubles as the district woman member of parliament.

Nabanja says that with the advice from the Attorney General Chambers, government will proceed to pay Tobacco farmers who have been demanding for money from Tobacco companies such as Continental and Nimatabac since 2018.
