Police in Kagadi district is holding two people for allegedly torching Rugashari police post in Rugashari town council, Kagadi district.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine police spokesperson has identified the duo as Aloysius Mateke and Joseph Byamukama residents of Rugashari town council.
At around 2am on Monday morning, two grass thatched houses, one of which houses Rugashari police post and another that is used to accommodate a police officer were razed down by fire.
This morning, Hakiza says police embarked on investigations into the fire leading to the arrest of the two.
He says police will press charges of arson against the two suspects once investigations are complete.
He however says no life or property was destroyed by the inferno.
