Police in Kibaale District are investigating circumstances under which a 24 year old Boda-boda cyclist was killed following a fight over a barmaid.
The deceased has been identified as Ronald Byabagambi, a Boda-boda Cyclist attached to Nyamarunda Town stage and resident of Nyamarunda Cell, Nyamarunda Town Council in Kibaale district.
It is alleged that on Thursday evening, Byabagambi reportedly had a misunderstanding with his colleague, one Amigo Atugonza of Kibeedi Cell in Nyamarunda Town Council at around 9:30pm over a woman.
The woman in question is an employee at another life bar and Lodge in Nyamarunda.
Eyewitnesses say during the fight, Amigo picked a brick that he used to hit Byabagambi on the head leaving him in a critical condition. Byabagambi was rushed to a nearby heath centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Enock Kaleba, the Officer in charge Criminal Investigation Department at Kibaale Police says investigations into the incident have commenced.
