Leaders in Kigorobya county, Hoima district want Kigorobya Health IV upgraded into a fully-fledged district hospital in a bid to improve health services.
Kigorobya Health four is located along the Hoima-Biiso road in Kigorobya Town Council. Robert Baguma, the district councilor for Kigorobya town council says the facility has almost all the required facilities deserved at a hospital status but also expressed concern over the none function theatre.
The leaders made the cries on Saturday before Hon Harriet Businge, the district woman legislator who toured around the facility where she donated covid-19 response tools including Personal Protective Equipment.
Everse Kyalisiima, the district female councilor for Kigorobya town council and Kajangi observed that once upgraded the available poor structures like staff quarters among others can be rectified since it will come a big budget.
Dr Lawrence Baluku, the health in-charge said the facility services of population of 53000 people and they register between 1200-1500 mothers coming for antenatal care per month.
He said the facility was fairly staffed with 43 health workers on government payroll but facing limited staff quarters, no Ultra scan, limited drugs and inadequate water.
