Residents of Katikara Sub County in Kakumiro district were on Thursday shocked after a 42-year-old man committed suicide in a church.

The deceased Kenneth Tumusiime, a resident of Kyedikyo B in Kyangota parish was found hanging in Pastor Matsiko’s church at around 10am on Thursday.

Pophia Namara, the wife to the deceased narrates that on Thursday morning she woke up early and went to the garden leaving her husband home in bed.

Namara adds that shockingly, her husband was discovered by his son Spenser Alinaitwe hanging in the church.

The Kyedikyo B LCI Chairperson Robert Nsasiire has asked residents to always share their problems with friends rather than ending their lives.

Meanwhile, residents have described the deceased as a well-mannered man who had no grudge with anyone in the area.
However, it’s alleged that the deceased had some debts and was a drunkard.
