Kakumiro Man Hacks Colleague over Alcohol

A man in his 50s is nursing injuries at Hoima Regional Referral hospital after he was hacked by a colleague following a feud over alcohol in Kisiita town council Kakumiro district.

The incident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday shortly after midnight in Cameroon trading Centre, Bwikaragye ward in Kisiita town council.

The suspect has been identified as only Muluri, a resident of Damatsiko and the victim is Jack Asiimwe a resident of Kyekado Cell, all in Kisiita town council.

According to eyewitnesses, the duo who were in the company of other revelers at a local bar picked up a quarrel over alcohol hence Muluri picked a panga and hacked his colleague.

The Damasiko LCI Chairperson, Sylas Mugabe, has condemned the incident and cautioned the youth against excessive consumption of alcohol but rather use their time to engage in developmental ventures.

Meanwhile, the District Councilor for Kisiita town council Michael Alindwamukama has advised locals to always calm down and think twice before reacting whenever they develop any disagreements.
By press time, the suspect Muluri had fled the village with his family.
