Police in Kagadi is investigating the theft and sale of government property belonging to Kagadi general government hospital.
This after reports that a section of hospital staff connive with some residents to steal and sale government property including drugs.
Kagadi district police commander Moses Muzima Kiconco confirms the investigations.
Preliminary investigations indicate that some hospital staff members have created short cuts by breaking the fence at the facility to give way to thieves to gain access to the hospital at night.
Now, Muzima has asked the hospital administration to clear the bush surrounding the staff quarters saying its where criminals pass to access the facility.
The hospital administrator Simon Peter Tumusiime confessed that for two years now, the hospital has been losing medical equipment and personal property.
He has asked police to expedite investigations.
