An angry mob has assaulted, killed and set ablaze a suspected notorious thief in Buliisa District.

The deceased identified as Kabode aged 25 years was allegedly caught breaking into a video hall of one Fred Kiiza, a resident in Selure B village, Bugoigo parish in Butyaba Sub County, Bulisa District.

Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson has confirmed incident and condemned the act of mob justice. He adds that Kabode has been a notorious thief and he had just returned from prison.

Hakiza has asked the community to always report such cases to police.

He adds that one person has been arrested in connection to the murder to help police with investigations.
