Darius Mugoye, the second vice president of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa), has tragically passed away.

Fufa confirmed this sad news on the morning of November 7, shortly after medical professionals at Mengo Hospital in Kampala declared his demise.

In an official statement, Fufa expressed their deepest sorrow and conveyed the news to the public, delegates, the football family, and all stakeholders. They announced,

“It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform the public, Delegates, Football Family, and other stakeholders of the death of our second FUFA Vice President Mr. Mugoye Darius that occurred this morning Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Mengo Hospital.”

The cause of Mugoye’s passing was not disclosed by Fufa, and they mentioned that official funeral and burial arrangements would be communicated at a later time.
